Why oxygenerator operator required to wear cotton overalls?

Oxygen generators operator, like other types of workers, must wear work clothes during production, but there are more special requirements for oxygen generators operator:
Only work clothes of cotton fabric can be worn. Why is that? Since contact with high concentrations of oxygen is inevitable at the oxygen production site, this is specified from the point of view of production safety. Because 1) chemical fiber fabrics will generate static electricity when rubbed, and it is easy to produce sparks. When wearing and taking off the clothing of chemical fiber fabric, the electrostatic potential generated can reach several thousand volts or even more than 10,000 volts. It is very dangerous when clothes are filled with oxygen. For example, when the oxygen content in the air increases to 30%, the chemical fiber fabric can ignite in only 3s 2) When a certain temperature is reached, the chemical fiber fabric begins to soften. When the temperature exceeds 200C, it will melt and become viscous. When combustion and explosion accidents occur, chemical fiber fabrics may stick due to the action of high temperature. If it is attached to the skin and cannot be taken off, it will cause serious injury. Cotton fabric overalls do not have the above shortcomings, so from a safety point of view, there should be special requirements for oxygen concentrators’ overalls. At the same time, oxygen generators themselves should not wear underwear of chemical fiber fabrics.
